So the Familias is in New York this week, we head back north tomorrow. We came for 2 reasons: the Superbowl and Super Tuesday. And.... WHEEEEEEE... my beloved GIANTS DID IT!!! WE'RE THE FRIGGIN' SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS!!! TICKER TAPE PARADE TODAY!!!
I cannot begin to explain my emotions through the game itself. I'm a football fanatic but I'm pretty bad when it comes to watching games --because I take it very personally. I'm seriously one of those people who thinks that they have an effect on the game by watching it. So like usual, I would run out of the room whenever the Giants were in a particularly tense situation, like a 3 and long, or within 20 yards of the endzone. And I would make my husband give me a verbal play by play while I'm hiding. And he would tell me that, no, when I watch the game, I'm not jinxing the Giants. And there could not have been a more tense fourth quarter. And when David Tyree made that ridiculous catch and then Plexico scored a few seconds later, it was like finding Nirvana all over again (the first time being when my alma mater won the National Football Championship a few years back).
As much as I'd like to go to the parade today, we're not going to because (1) we think it'll be too much for the girls and (2) the weather is looking pretty crap.
Ok, to recap:
(a) GIANTS ARE THE FRIGGIN' SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS, SUCK IT PATS! (And I'm so going to rub it in when I get back to Boston.
(b) Can we say 18-1?
(c) Favorite commercials: Pepsi Max bopping heads (What is Love?), Bridgestone Tire screaming animals, Coke Carville and Frist.
We also came to New York to vote. Or specifically, for me to vote. I grew up in New York and I'm still registered at my parent's address. This is mostly because between my two stints living abroad, never living in one address for more than 2 years, and my time as a law student, it has never seemed opportune to register somewhere else. And I didn't get my act together this year to submit an absentee ballot. So I'm here, and I've voted, and you can get three guesses who I voted for (starts with "O" and rhymes with "panorama"). J's not a registered anything (independent and proud is his motto), so he humors my party affiliation.
VOTE! VOTE SOON! VOTE OFTEN!!
Blogs are good for every one where we get lots of information for any topics nice job keep it up !!!
